According to the 2009 Nonprofit Employment Trends Survey by Nonprofit HR Solutions, nonprofits will likely cut jobs in 2009.

The Philanthropy Journal article says more than one in four nonprofits plan to downsize or lay off staff next year, compared with the 7.6 percent that foresaw reductions last year. And only about four in 10 groups say they anticipate creating new positions in 2009, down from six in 10 in 2008.
